How to use each printable
Star Tracing
This printable activity is great for fine motor skills and pre-writing skills. Give your child a pencil, crayon, marker, or paint and paintbrush and let them trace the different dotted lined.
To make this reusable, you can laminate or place in a clear sheet protector and use a dry erase marker. To clean, simply wipe with a cloth or baby wipe.
Dot sticker star
This printable activity is fun to decorate with dot stickers (or dot markers). Here's an affiliate link to our favorite dot stickers.
Your child can place dot stickers directly on top of the grey circles on the printable.
For even more learning, you can write a letter or number inside each grey dot on the printable. On dot stickers, write the same letters or numbers. Let your child match the dot stickers to the corresponding letters or numbers written inside the grey dots on the printable.
Cutting strips
Cut out each cutting strip. For younger kids, we like to tape the top of the strip (right above the firework picture) onto the edge of a table. Give your child scissors and let them cut along the dotted line. We even included a blank cutting strip for you (or your child) to create their own dashed lines however they want.
Tissue paper star
You will need glue and tissue paper for this activity. Let your child take small pieces of tissue paper, crinkle the pieces up, and glue onto the printable. Continue until the star is filled with colored tissue paper glued on. This is the simplest and cutest little art activity, and it's great to help strengthen fine motor skills. We love to these tissue paper squares for this activity. Here's an affiliate link to the pack we love.
Patriotic I-Spy
Who doesn't love an I-spy printable? Give your child something to write with and let them use the key and printable to find 5 of each item that's in the key.
Coloring pages
We also included two different coloring pages. These are great for early mornings, to bring to a restaurant, etc.
